In advance, I just want to thank everyone for their contribution to this list. Without many users within the Palm community, this list would not be possible. Thank you!

This list will include all the software that has been verified by other users to work on the Palm Treo 700w. For those not aware, the 700w is running the latest version of Microsoft's mobile operating system, Windows Mobile 5. In addition, the 700w has a 240x240 display that may or may not cause problems with software that has historically run on 240x320 devices. Because of these differences, developers may have to update their software to make it work with the Palm Treo 700w.

If you do not find the software title, it does not mean that it does not work on the 700w. It just means that it has not been tested by a 700w user that has posted his/her experience.

To submit a title to this list, please include the four things: the title of the software, the version of the software, the Internet link for the software, and confidence level of the tests. Here is a list that defines different confidence levels:

Need: Tested and the software needs to be updated to be compatible with the 700w.
Low: Tested the basic functions of the software, and everything appears to be working on the 700w.
Medium: Tested a lot of the functionality of the software including a few difference settings and options, and everything appears to be working on the 700w.
High: Tested a multitude of options and scenerios that you can guarantee compability of the software with the 700w. Anyone can submit the information, as long as you follow the guidelines listed in the above section.

You can submit information to the list using our contact form.

I have modified the list to make it easy to see what does work (Green Light List) and what does NOT work (Red Light List). If it is on the Green Light List, the confidence level shows how extensive the software was tested on the 700w.

I have added a new list for requested software that people would like tested on the 700w.

3/11/2006: From user, "I'm sorry, but this is so ugly as to render it unusable when it's rescaled on the 700w, especially given it's beauty on the 650 palm device. All features may function, but the menus are unreadable, so if you're not familiar with the Bejeweled2 interface, you're pretty much out of luck. I can't imagine that anyone would be willing to pay 19.95 for this. I certainly wouldn't list it as "Green". Let me know if you'd like a screen shot."

02/19/2006: From developer, "We noticed a complaint on your website about MemMaid causing Microsoft Voice Command to stop working. We're aware of the problem and currently working no a fix for it. In the mean time, users can continue using MemMaid, they just need to avoid using the registry cleaner module (it can disabled by unchecking this item from the cleaner list in MemMaid). Sorry for the inconvenience and an update is going to be available soon."
01/23/2006: From user, "MemMaid by DinarSoft will clean out necessary files that will keep specific programs for working correctly on the Treo 700. Each time I have installed it and run a sweep my Voice Command no longer works as it is missing files. I have also heard from others that their Activesync no longer works after installing and running MemMaid. After 3 hard resets, I am not installing it again. It wiped out Voice Command every single time."

From user, "PocketWeather installed and seemed to work just fine. However, it crippled Internet Explorer. I spent about 6 hours, including more that two hours on the line with Verizon Wireless Tech Support--thinking it was an IE issue. Eventually we discovered that IE worked after a hard reset, and stopped working after doing nothing else but installing PocketWeather."
